Halloween in Transylvania, one of the two National Events of ESN Romania, gathered this year around 750 Erasmus+ students, coming from 10 Romanian cities: Alba Iulia, Bacău, Brașov, București, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Craiova, Iași, Sibiu and Timișoara.
During four days (from 27th to 30th of October), the participants discovered the history and culture of Transylvania. They visited the beautiful city of Brașov, the imposing Râșnov citadel and the elegant Peleş castle.
But everybody knows that Transylvania is famous for its legends… Haven`t you heard about the frightening Count Dracula?
One of the most exciting moments of the event was represent by the visit to Dracula`s castle (Bran castle) during the night, which was followed by the Halloween Party in its front yard.
Another great moment of Halloween in Transylvania was represented by the SocialErasmus activity. The students realized a huge human chain in the center of Brașov, with the purpose of raising awareness to child poverty. Actually, this moment represented the end of the SocialErasmus activity developed during October, when local sections of ESN Romania collected useful products for children in need.
The last activity of Halloween in Transylvania was represented by the Responsible Party, which had a wild theme this year: Jungle Party. During the night, ESN volunteers promoted responsible drinking among students.
