A Brief History
The Erasmus Games initiative began with the vision of creating a pan-European event that embodied the core values of the Erasmus+ program: mobility, cooperation and cultural understanding.
What started as smaller, localized sports events gradually grew into organized national competitions, eventually culminating in the establishment of the International Erasmus Games.
Each year, the event has expanded, welcoming more participants and fostering an even stronger sense of community among Erasmus+ students. The games have evolved to include a wider range of sports and cultural activities, solidifying their place as a cherished tradition within the Erasmus+ network.
